The first post...of many to come

This blog will be all about issues and controversies in the exciting field of biology. I myself am studying biological science at the University of New South Wales. My interests revolve mainly around evolution, genetics and public policy pertaining to such things as stem cell research and genetically modified organisms. Anyone is free to disagree with me or correct me if and when I err. I will also endeavour to address whatever confusions may arise in anyone's mind. My apologies in advance should I ever fall short of being able to do so.
I hope readers will enjoy reading and discussing this blog as much as I think I will enjoy writing it. I'm sure this will also be a valuable learning experience for others as well as for myself, provided I don't slack off, which would be an awful shame.
